London is a magical place year-round, but never more so than at Christmas. Below we give the London House top picks of the best places to view Christmas lights this year.

Regents Street

In its usual style, Regent Street is decked in twinkling lights running through Oxford Circus, St James and Waterloo Place. Regent Street has long been famous for its spectacular festive lights display, being the first central London destination to introduce Christmas lights in 1954. Look up to the skies while dipping into the street’s flagship stores and you’ll spot the sparkling angels high above.

Oxford Street

Oxford Street’s festive lights are always a delight, running the 1.5 miles the Christmas lights give Europe’s busiest shopping street a heart-warming glow. Make sure to go see the Christmas light between trips to flagship stores including Liberty and Selfridges whilst visiting at their iconic store Christmas displays.

Marylebone Village

One of our top picks is Marylebone Village, home of the London House office. On Thursday 10 November, Marylebone Village invites you to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season with a festive light switch-on in support of mental health charity partner Mind in Brent Wandsworth and Westminster.

Carnaby Street

This year Carnaby Street is celebrating 25 years of their famous Christmas Lights. This year the street is themed 'Carnaby Celebrates' with iconic lights from the past 25 years, including an underwater seascape, colourful rainbows, oversized fairy lights, and last year's fluttering butterflies.

Covent Garden

Covent Garden is always a favourite among central London Christmas light displays, with its extravagant light display of giant mirrored baubles and mistletoe, and Christmas Market stands it is one of the best areas to soak up the Christmas cheer. As well as an impressive display of lights spread across the main market building, the iconic Christmas tree is now bigger than ever – with 115,000 lights (last year there were 30,000).

Bond Street

While last year's peacock features blew away Londoners, this year jewels are the order of the season. The 2022 lighting design has taken inspiration from The Crown Jewels, with a nod to the world-famous jewellery houses that have lived on the street for centuries.

Connaught Village

Connaught Village’s Tree of Love, Joy and Hope Will Light Up With Christmas Wishes. November 17 will see Connaught Village kicking off their holiday celebrations with the unveiling of their Christmas lights, and an afternoon of festivities. As well as turning on the lights, they’ll reveal the latest makeover of their Tree of Love, Joy and Hope, which will be taken over by an ‘All I want for Christmas is…’ installation.

Belgravia

Dazzling white lights brighten up the already charming Motcomb Street and Elizabeth Street from November 9. For the switch on, many of the area's vendors will have specials and happenings, and find mince pies, mulled wine and hot chocolate on Elizabeth Street, Pimlico Road and Motcomb Street. Also watch out for Eccleston Yards' Christmas Market and the return of The Gingerbread City.
